Really enjoyed my dinner here. The staff made some recommendations which I went with and really enjoyed. Nice location if you are looking for something near the airport. Friendly staff, food was ready quick.
Food was delicious friendly service me and my beautiful Peruvian wife enjoyed our time here
Very clean and the waiting section is very comfortable and welcoming. Staff was friendly and attentive. Food was delicious!
Wow! This restaurant is awesone! I came in not really expecting much. I was forced to come because my sister gave me a groupon for this restaurant that is expiring that day. The food was impeccable. The food was served with presentation. I ordered the Ceviche Mixto, which tasted good but what won my heart was the Chicharon dish with fried potatoes.I will definitely come back here and will recommend this place my friends.
Food was delicious. 7 people. 1 happy, 6 over- joyed. Great job chef
The food is amazing, especially the fried rice, but I'd recommend either sharing or going extremelt hungry, the serving is huge.
Now for the pancita. I was curious when the server told me it's not stew-like, but fried (I think). Again, every bite, EVERY BITE was better than the last. At this point I was so glad I didn't have a spoon because I dipped the pieces in the ceviche liquid -- it made it that much better! To top it off, there were some crispy crumbs lining the wood the pancita came on
great place .. amazing food with an outstanding presentation!
Ordered the Lomo Saltado and it came out amazing. First time trying Peruvian food and it was life changing. Food takes a little while I'm assuming because it is made fresh but well worth any wait. Portions are big so come prepared.
This place is simply a phenomenal hidden gem!! Beware: no alcohol served but **you can BYOB**! We had a variety of dishes: mixed seafood ceviche, steak over green pasta (I know it sounds weird, but it is pesto and GOOOOD!), a spicy fish dish over calamari and rice, caramel cake (get it with the Peruvian ice cream), a beautiful caramel/coconut/filo pastry, and coffees to wrap up. Amazing and flawless.
Gave this place a try after seeing it in Groupon for a while. The outside is very deceiving - there is secure parking available and once inside you are transported to Peru with the vast flavor and music. The menu offers a lot of selections of fresh seafood and typical Peruvian cuisine. We had the fried rice special which was absolutely delicious, the shrimp with garlic which was very wonderfully flavored and fresh as well as a seafood combination of half ceviche and half fried seafood very fresh and delightful tasting. The portions are plentiful and service was adequate. The price is reasonable for the portions being served. All in all this is a spot we would definitely return to.
Good Perubian food.
Generous portions, fabulous taste, great service. We ordered the platter for two and it was out of this world. Everything had its own flavor; there was plenty of it; and it was delicious.Lovely reataraunt friendly staff, had a nice ambiance to the place, the food was lovely will be definitely be going back for more.
Peruvian food out of this world steak n egg. New Zealand green mussels to die for cerviche that looked great that's my next thing I will get on my next experience there
Absolutely amazing experience at this restaurant. Family owned, the food is totally authentic to Peruvian culture and includes a mixture of Hispanic and American foods. The atmosphere is great, beautifully decorated and great service!!!! It’s BYOB so a nice opportunity to drink up for a good price. The prices a very economical and the plates are huge! I took home a piece of steak that was maybe an inch and a half left, but it was so good, I couldn’t let it go to waste. Definitely visit this place!!!!
Just 10 minutes from Newark International Airport to amazing food journey. Food is just exceptional and sweet stuff even better. Small and very simple hall, few refrigerators and yeah, you might stock in line waiting for the table. Portions of soup id gigantic, for $6 you might be full for all day. Highly recommended. Tips will be included to final bill.
Good food, and also very quick... 5 starts
A nice Peruvian place tucked away in Elizabeth with good dishes! The service was nice and the atmosphere was cute. I totally recommend the purple corn drink (I can't recall exactly what it was called, but it had a pleasantly mild sweetness).
This place is extremely busy, even during the week. We had stuffed fillet of sole and it was excellent. They supplies delicious olives and fresh salad before we even ordered. The fish came with large servings of potatoes and veggie.
When I initially asked the server how big the portion is, she sized with her hands. I thought it was kind of small, but I was craving it so, what the heck. When the plate came out I was pleasantly surprised -- it was bigger than what she estimated. Every bite, every bite was delicious! When I told her how much heat I wanted, it was executed perfectly. I wanted a spoon so I could drink every last drop of the liquid.
The portions we're surprisingly large for the price and honestly it was probably my favorite meal during my trip to the area. When you come in you're brought a bowl of corn with two sauces which is a delightful, uncommon starter and if you ask they'll bring you more sauce for your entrees. The staff was friendly and the food was awesome
Very good Peruvian food.. the chicha Mirada was fantastic!
great food!! the portions are huge. we had the fish ceviche, the shrimp fried rice, and the fried pork belly. highly recommend everything! also note that it is BYOB.
Great food, family owned/operated, and the flan is what dreams are made of!! Currently offering a groupon deal!! Must go!
Amazing! Amazing! Amazing!Fresh, delicious, authentic food. Great vibes. Unreal experience. Hospitality incredible. Stevan you have changed my life for the better. Can’t thank you enough. My coworkers and I are from out of town but will be back again and again and again.
Great food and service
It’s different & it’s about 5 minutes from Newark Airport. Simple bold colorful decoration simple food but with a different twist from the norm. Had a really excellent yellow lentil based soup of the day. Such a delight to have freshly prepared food from fresh ingredients. Tried to fish & seafood. An interesting combination. Hot battered squid & seafood with cold shrimp, calamari’s & fish. Off-street parking out-front.
Love the food and the corn nuts. I will visit again on my next trip to New Jersey.
I was surprise when I found this place as there isn't many Peruvian places around. We came for early dinner on a Friday night. The place was pretty much empty. We ordered lomo salteado and chaufan with camarones and a pansita (cow stomach). Food was delicious, a bit salty but full of flavor. Service was ok.
This is the greatest Chinese Peruvian place in NJ!! family owned and operated so it is authentic. Plus everyone that works there is just so sweet, helpful and accommodating. I go at least once a month (sometimes more when I an craving lol)
This place is beyond incredible. Amazing food, awesome service, incredible all around!
This place is simply a phenomenal hidden gem close to Newark!!
Very nice healthy and tasty food! Would recommends any1 dat loves spices from indian cusine.
The food is delicious.... Price is right...service is good... The atmosphere is amazing...& the portions are excellent.. I have been there numerous times .. I definitely recommend it.Ps; It seems like they put a lot of effort to offer a unique experience.. From the taste of their food to the way they decorate it ...absolutely amazing..
Had a really great experience overall, the waitress was very friendly, food was really good, I had the Beef soup Salvadorian style and it was very delicious, the roasted chicken was pretty dry but still it was savory. I highly recommend the Mango shake with milk, SOOOO GOOD! Will be back for sure
Overall everything was good, the food was fresh, flavorful and hot.(except the ceviche) Prices were fair. While the service was good it did take a bit of time for the food to come out. I would recommend this place a someplace to try.
Great food. The Peruvian Stir Fry was delicious. Service was fairly slow, but definitely worth the wait.
Horrible service . Don’t eat in this place they’re very expensive & they don’t even serve you the food that you ordered with the rights ingredients. Dirty dishes all over the place. The food don’t even taste good. Very unorganized place I really don’t recommend to eat here .
A gem of a place. Amazing food!
A hidden gem tucked away in Elizabeth NJ. This is the best Peruvian restaurant that I've ever been to. Everything we ordered was amazing and the presentation was top notch. The desserts were so good too. I highly recommend the caramel roll cake. The environment was colorful and very clean and the waitstaff friendly. I'm going back again in a heartbeat!
My first time eating Peruvian food and i must say it was very delicious. A different change of food is always good but unfortunately they are a bit over priced.
Mmmm mango mousse. Everything was delicious!!
Good food and service, we went with 3 kids, lpts od space. I loved the place.
The dish Lomo Saltado has a few different spices that make the dish spectacular. Their green chimichurri sauce is awesome!
Love this place. I try to come here with my family or friends once every month or some times once every 2 month because the food is out of this world. My personal favorite is the "lomo saltado". You can not go wrong eating that (unless you are vegan). However, the people that work there are friendly and will always ask if everything is ok with your food.
Needed to grab a bite while waiting at the airport. Grilled steak, onions, and tomatoes. Delicious preparation. Don't be thrown by the unassuming appearance. Very pleasant service.
Important to note that this restaurant has parking. If you're in the middle of Elizabeth at the other Peruvian joints you'll have a tough time parking plus you'll be feeding the meter. Another very important thing is that English is spoken here. In Elizabeth you'll rarely find a restaurant where English is spoken (this is my experience).Anyways, the food is served with some class. Interior of the restaurant is nicely decorated and painted with soothing music. I shall be coming back for more.
Really small portions... but I truly recommend this place... I mean the flavor and presentation of the dishes is just unique. It's a really good place to go for a gourmet/fancy like meeting , excellent peruvian music , very nice service. I probably go again.
Great food and server was really nice
Now for the pancita. I was curious when the server told me it's not stew-like, but fried (I think). Again, every bite, EVERY BITE was better than the last. At this point I was so glad I didn't have a spoon because I dipped the pieces in the ceviche liquid -- it made it that much better! To top it off, there were some crispy crumbs lining the wood the pancita came on -- just that part tasted like the best fried chicken crumbs ever. It was spectacular too because it tasted like it was grilled, even though it's fried (again, I think).
